Service Agreements

The most important service a service agreement provides is priority attention to your repairs.  Alpha Wireless firmly commits to quick repair of equipment under maintenance contract - before other non-contract service requests.  In addition the agreement benefits include:

  • The ability to budget maintenance expenses
  • 20% discount on portable battery replacement, cases, and speaker microphones
  • Discounted removal and installation rates
  • Free battery analyzing
  • 40% discount on radio programming - adding or changing a channel
  • 40$ discount should you need a rental during downtime

Cost
Service agreements are as little as $4 per month per radio.

Standard Warranties
All equipment comes with a minimum one-year warranty from Motorola.  A service agreement can be entered into at any time.  The ideal time to enter into a maintenance agreement is when the warranty expires.

Exclusions
Batteries, external mobile antennas, physical misuse, and water damage are not covered under the warranty.  Normal wear and tear are covered.

Mobilization Changes

Alpha Wireless is now determining mobilization charges by a more equitable process that charges for actual miles driven and actual time technicians are on the road.

 

Mobilization calculation consists of three parts:

  • Vehicle Charge
  • Fuel Surcharge
  • Tech Time

 

Vehicle Charge is based on total cost of operating our off road capable, specialty vehicles.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Cost/depreciation
  • Fuel (based on $3.00 /gal)
  • Insurance, registrations, & taxes
  • Maintenance & Tires

Fuel Surcharge is the difference between current price of fuel and the base charge.

Tech Time is the time AWCC technicians spend driving, multiplied by the hourly rate.

The mobilization charge will fluctuate from invoice to invoice because miles driven will be divided by the number of locations a technician visits on any particular day.  The percentage each location pays will be calculated by the proximity to an AWCC service center based on zip codes. The further away a location is the greater percent of the charge will be applied to them.
