Mankato Mobile Radio in 1979

On February 25th, 1958, Jens Mikkelson founded Mankato Mobile Radio as an Authorized Motorola Service Station.  The primary services were installation and service of equipment sold by Motorola Inc. in Schaumburg, IL.  Mankato Mobile Radio was purchased by Paul & Joyce Hoefs in 1979.

Alpha Wireless Communications has been an Authorized Motorola Service Center for Southern Minnesota since 1958.  We are also a System Select Dealer, Motorola Two-Way Dealer, and a Networking Solutions Provider for the region.  In over 50 years of doing business we have achieved the Pinnacle Award for Excellence from Motorola 7 times and have received the 1st ever Letter of Commendation for Quality.  In 2009 we received the MOTOSTAR Award, the highest recognition offered through Motorola.
